Marty Burger is the Co-Founder, CEO, and President of L&L Infinite Real Estate Partners, a real estate company that pursues development, investment opportunities, and debt strategies across the United States. Over the course of his nearly four decade-long career, Burger has earned a reputation as a market-leading executive who has developed some of the country’s most iconic real estate projects and led multiple investment funds that have successfully deployed tens of billions dollars.
Prior to L&L Infinite, Mr. Burger founded Infinite Global Real Estate Partners and launched Infinite Global Capital Partners (IGCP), a debt strategy platform that now operates as an affiliate of L&L Infinite.
Earlier, Burger served 14 years as CEO of Silverstein Properties, a $20 billion real estate acquisition, development, management, and finance company based in New York City. Burger developed several marquee properties, including the redevelopment of the World Trade Center, The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, The Four Seasons Hotel Downtown New York and 30 Park Place Residences, the Disney/ABC Headquarters building at 7 Hudson Square, and One West End Avenue. Burger also completed the acquisitions of several renowned properties, including the US Bank Tower in Los Angeles, 1735 Market Street in Philadelphia, and Disney/ABC’s Upper West Side Campus in New York.
While at Silverstein, Burger created several real estate-related businesses which included Silverstein Capital Partners (a $5.3 billion debt platform), the $1.1 billion Cantor Silverstein Opportunity Zone Trust (CSOZT), the Silverstein Regional Center (EB-5), and Silverstein’s Israeli Bond Program which raised over $500 million via the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Previously, Burger spent 15 years at Related, serving as President of Related Las Vegas and the Executive Vice President of Related Companies. Burger led several groundbreaking developments, including Time Warner Center (now known as the Deutsche Bank Center) in New York City, CityPlace in West Palm Beach, and the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
Burger has also held the roles of founder and CEO of Artisan Real Estate Ventures, VP of Acquisitions for The Blackstone Group, and associate at Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Real Estate funds.
Burger’s dedication to philanthropic, public service, and educational efforts has been far-reaching. He is a board member of NYC inner-city children’s charity SparkYouth, a trustee of National Jewish Health, and co-chair of the Real Estate Division of the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces through which he has chaired multiple missions to Israel.
Burger has made extensive contributions to the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he is currently a trustee and governor, as well as a board member of the ULI Foundation. Formerly, Burger served as a member of ULI’s Global Board and America’s Executive Committee and as Chairman of both the New York District Council and his Urban Development Mixed-Use Council.
In public service, Burger is a trustee for the Citizens Budget Commission and a Governor for REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York). He has also held prominent roles with the Lincoln Center Real Estate and Construction Council, the Board of Trustees of the Battery Conservancy, the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District, and the Partnership for New York City. Burger was also a member of Mayor Eric Adams’ Transition Team.
In education, Burger is a member of the Executive Committee of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School. He also sits on the advisory boards of The Center for Real Estate and Finance at Cornell, The Schack Institute of Real Estate at NYU, and the Fisher Center for Real Estate at the Haas School at UC Berkeley.
An active member of the Real Estate Roundtable in Washington, D.C., Burger also serves on M&T Bank’s Directors’ Advisory Council and the M&T Bank New York City Mortgage Committee. He is also a board member of North Bridge ESG, a C-Pace real estate lending platform.
Marty Burger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
